Playing with the senses at home!
Did you know that all our senses… hide inside our home?
Kitchen is not only the place we cook and prepare our meals, but it also hides the most and smallest treasures we can discover through our senses!
Discover mother’s big bowls, the pastry instruments and the wooden cutlery! Mix them up with pasta, rice, even with beans and explore the physical properties of solid bodies. How many beans fit in a small bowl? How can I transfer rice from a container to another? How many small pasta I can hold with my one hand?
If you want your play to be more colorful, just paint pasta, rice and beans in different colors and explore them through your senses! You can use acrylic paints or food colors for a more ecological and child-friendly effect.
Our little visitors who participated in our family program “Playing with the Senses”, they certainly have a lot to say!
We will be happy to see photos of your sensory activities at home!
