Museums from home!
Did you know that you can visit over 2000 museums and galleries from your… home?
If you’re a fan of technology, just log on the website of Google Arts & Culture and visit whatever museum you want!
Google Arts & Culture (artsandculture.google.com) is an online platform through which you can see high-resolution images of artworks housed in various museums. The project was launched on 1 February 2011 by Google through its Google Cultural Institute initiative, in cooperation with 17 international museums, including the Tate Gallery (London), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York City) and the Uffizi (Florence).
Explore museums and their collections, discover unique exhibits and paintings, and walk through the halls of major museums with virtual tours. Choose the objects you like the most and make your own tour guide to the museum you’d like to visit on your next trip!
