This year, Museum's new educational programs invite students to explore the Prehistoric Era and the Ancient Theater, to get to know the art of Comics and discover the wonderful world of Astronomy:

PREHISTORIC EXPLORATIONS (Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Primary)

Through a prehistoric bone, children are invited to study and explore the earliest life on Earth. Taking on the role of paleontologist, children learn about the science of paleontology and understand the basic stages of research: fieldwork, preparation and management of fossils.

But how is fieldwork done? What tasks are involved in managing fossils and how are they displayed?

Kids dig up the most famous prehistoric animals! They study and identify their basic features in order to classify the species that they have discovered. On the occasion of our findings, we meet the most famous paleontologists and prepare the most exciting paleontology exhibition!

IN OUR SUN'S NEIGHBORHOOD (2nd, 3rd and 4th Primary)

The observation of the movements of celestial bodies has been fascinated man since the beginning of the time. The first astronomers were able to distinguish the planets, which seemed to "wander" around a large star.

But how many planets are there? Who is this large star that everyone is wander around? How does the astronomer observe the sky?

Children are invited to study our solar system and discover the planets that exist in it. Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and all the other planets are introduced to us through a series of experiments, revealing their secrets about their terrain, atmosphere, orbit and distance from the Sun. Come with us to travel to our Sun's neighborhood!

COMICS TOF THE AGES! (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Primary)

Can you tell a story with just pictures? But... of course! All you need is some balloons and a lot of colors!

And what would you do with the balloons and colors? But... to make your own comics!

Comics are the 9th and the most popular Art in the whole world! A series of sequential images combined with balloons, sounds and colors can not only tell stories, but also spread ideas.

Travelling back in Prehistoric period, children learn about the first comics that man created, while they recognize famous heroes and stories. With the help of the most famous comic creators, children make their own strips, sketch their own heroes and narrate human's History through their own clouds!

BIRDSTORIES (4th, 5th and 6th Primary)

- Ah! I chose a crow as a guide and I walk so many hours for no reason!

- I wonder how we thought that two birds could take us to Chalapeteinos!

- Shhh... wait... The crow says something. It seems to me that we have just arrived... in the land of birds!

Who are talking to each other? Where is the "land of the birds" and what are they looking for?

Let's travel back in time and meet Euelpides and Pisthetaerus, the main characters in the most famous comedy of 414 BC! Through ECM's collections, children discover the ancient theater and in particularly the way in which the theatrical performances were performed. Wearing masks and memorizing phrases, children bring to life "The Birds" in Dionysia.
